Police have named two persons of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of three-year-old Zaylon Pinnock in Denham Town, Kingston. The individuals, identified only as “Juby” and “Romy,” are believed to be linked to the Scream Corner gang and have been asked to report to the Denham Town Criminal Investigation Branch within 24 hours. The incident occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Saturday when gunmen reportedly went to a home on Nelson Street posing as customers before opening fire on a family. Zaylon Pinnock, his father, and another child were shot during the attack. All three victims were taken to the hospital, where the young boy was pronounced dead. The father and the other child were admitted for treatment. Police say early information suggests the shooting may be related to gang rivalry and a possible resurgence of criminal activity in the Denham Town area.
