Two Students Injured in School Gate Taxi Incident

Two schoolgirls were struck by a taxi near their school gate on Thursday but are thankfully reported to be doing okay after receiving medical checks.

The incident involved a Nissan wagon travelling at moderate speed as the students rushed across the roadway without first checking for traffic. Adults nearby quickly assisted the children and escorted them into the school for medical attention.

No further updates on their condition have been released, but early information suggests there were no serious injuries.

The situation has prompted renewed calls for drivers to slow down in school zones and for parents to reinforce basic road safety with their children. Community members also highlighted the need for greater caution during peak school hours, when student movement is highest.

While this ended without major harm, residents hope the incident encourages safer driving and stronger road safety awareness to help prevent future accidents.
