Wisynco Group Limited has entered into a landmark strategic partnership with Select Brands Limited through the acquisition of Ringtail Bottlers Limited, the manufacturer of the popular Stone’s Ginger Wine.
The deal, announced on August 25 at the AC Marriott Hotel in Kingston, will see Wisynco take over production of Stone’s Ginger Wine for Jamaica, the Caribbean, and the United States. Wisynco will also manage the production of other Ringtail brands such as Irie Moss, Prestige Liqueurs, Bandolero, and Privateer.
As part of the arrangement, Wisynco has acquired a 30 percent stake in Ringtail Holdings, the parent company of Select Brands. Despite the divestment of its manufacturing subsidiary, Select Brands will continue to own and distribute the brands, focusing on its core strength of premium brand building and customer engagement.
Executives from both companies described the move as a “long-term co-packing agreement,” combining Wisynco’s large-scale distribution capabilities with Select Brands’ expertise in premium beverages. Wisynco CEO Andrew Mahfood highlighted the acquisition as part of the company’s 60th anniversary celebrations and expansion strategy.
Select Brands Co-Managing Director David McConnell emphasized that the alliance aligns with both companies’ values and vision, ensuring Jamaican consumers continue to access the brands they trust.
