Lisa Hyper Arrested at Norman Manley Airport After Heated Confrontation

Popular dancehall artist Lisa Hyper was arrested earlier today at Norman Manley International Airport after a dramatic confrontation while trying to leave Jamaica. The incident, which was captured live on Instagram, has sparked widespread discussion online.

Lisa Hyper recently disclosed that her Scotia Bank account is under a 180-day review, preventing her from accessing her money. She claimed a family member attempted a transaction, triggering a fraud investigation and leaving her unable to withdraw funds.

Despite this, she went to the airport, attempting to secure a ticket to England. When she was unable to do so, she approached an airport staff member responsible for assisting passengers with tickets and baggage and insulted them on her Instagram Live, calling them a "booboo" (essentially an idiot). She then put her phone up to their face while streaming.

Police officers were standing behind Lisa Hyper during the incident. After hearing her comments and seeing her behavior, they informed her that she would be charged. She was then taken into custody by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

Following her arrest, social media exploded with mixed reactions. While some fans showed concern, many were seen mocking her in the comments, laughing and claiming she needs mental health treatment at Bellevue Hospital. Several commenters repeatedly stated that she was “mad” and needs an injection.”

There has been no official statement from the authorities regarding the charges against Lisa Hyper. However, her arrest has once again raised conversations about mental health in the entertainment industry, financial security among artists, and the pressures they face.
