Dancehall artist Dexta Daps has firmly denied Lisa Hyper’s recent claims that they were in a relationship, got married, and were expecting a child together. The controversy started after Lisa Hyper made bold allegations during a podcast, but Dexta Daps quickly took to Instagram Live to clear his name.
In his response, Dexta stated:
"Listen to me carefully, I am not the type of person to put down any woman in her life. I've never been, and I never will be. And I won’t let any woman do that to me as well."
He revealed that he hasn’t seen Lisa Hyper in about five years and expressed concern over her well-being. He also disclosed that he reached out to her family, encouraging them to seek medical assistance for her, as he believes she is spreading false allegations.
Lisa Hyper’s Past Claims
Lisa Hyper, known for tracks like Bills (feat. Gaza Kim) and Come Ova (feat. Vybz Kartel), has previously spoken about a miscarriage in June 2021, claiming that Dexta Daps was the father. In 2022, she even tattooed his legal name, Louis Anthony Grandison Jr., below her right shoulder blade, further fueling speculation.
However, Dexta insists they were never romantically involved, even joking that only the Virgin Mary got pregnant without intercourse. He also shared clips of Lisa Hyper laughing and admitting that her claims were just a prank on the public.
Lisa Hyper Responds
Despite Dexta Daps’ denial, Lisa Hyper has clapped back, urging him to tell the truth. She also alleged that he threatened to block her when she first told him she was pregnant.
Mental Health Concerns
Fans are now divided, with some doubting Dexta’s innocence, while others believe Lisa Hyper is struggling with mental health challenges. In the past, Lisa has spoken candidly about psychosis and bipolar disorder and confirmed receiving treatment at the University Hospital of the West Indies (UHWI). Recently, she also mentioned plans to continue therapy.
